Founded in 2010 by the visionary Manish Bhardwaj, an alumnus of the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA, this organisation has been on a relentless mission to transform healthcare for the underserved.
Their journey began with a singular focus: to bring about tangible change in the landscape of community health. Armed with a deep-rooted commitment to improving lives, they set their sights on tackling some of the most pressing health challenges facing the region.
In the district of Samastipur, where access to quality healthcare was limited, they saw an opportunity to make a difference. They began their work by focussing on the conditions of TB patients in the district. With unwavering determination and a spirit of innovation, they embarked on a journey to double TB case-finding, reduce neonatal mortality rates, and provide vital support for maternal mental health.
But they knew that achieving these ambitious goals would require more than just good intentions. It demanded a collaborative effort, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
Drawing strength from partnerships with organisations like the Nalanda Charitable Foundation, HCL Foundation, and Stop TB Partnership – USAID, they forged ahead with groundbreaking initiatives. From the introduction of cutting-edge technologies like Ubox and 99 Dots to improve drug adherence among TB patients, to the implementation of proactive case-finding strategies and comprehensive treatment support, they left no stone unturned in their quest for impact.
Their efforts were not without challenges. They faced varied hurdles, logistical complexities, and entrenched social norms. But with each obstacle they encountered, they emerged stronger and more determined than ever to overcome them.
Their collaboration with the government proved to be instrumental in influencing policies and scaling their interventions to reach even more communities in need. Through tireless advocacy and a steadfast commitment to their cause, they succeeded in reshaping the healthcare landscape of Bihar, one life at a time.
